Does a Division-III college athletic experience have more balance than the other divisions? In any college experience, if you play sports, you will be very, very busy.
Between your academic requirements and your athletic practice and competition schedule, there is little time for anything else, no matter what level of college you choose.
As you get older, you learn how to find more balance, but, when you first get to college, expect there to be an adjustment period.
However, the Division III colleges pride themselves on athletes finding more balance between academics, athletics, and other activities of interest for student-athletes. Division III has periods of time in the off-season when the college coach can’t hold official practices. This allows the athletes to get involved in other activities.
